The Committee of South Westmeath Hospice would like to take this opportunity to express sincere gratitude to all who have contributed so generously to the Fundraising efforts since l994.  This includes support from many groups, clubs, parish communities, individuals and businesses.   Without that extraordinary support, the Hospice premises quite simply would not exist and the provision of services for patients and their families at a time when it is most needed would not be possible.

Aside from annual events such as the Sunflower collection, 5Km fun run/walk and Hospice coffee morning, there have been numerous and various methods of fundraising from which the Hospice has benefited – to include Golf Classics, fashion shows, sporting events, concerts, poker classics, slimathons, table quizs, book sales, cake sales etc.

While again emphasising how grateful we are for all fundraising activities to-date, the Committee hopes that people appreciate the need for us to monitor fundraising events undertaken on behalf of the Hospice. Regrettably, there is need to ensure that events purporting to be in aid of the South Westmeath Hospice are in fact genuine and there is onward transmission to the Hospice of monies raised. For that reason, we would ask that anyone planning an event in aid of South Westmeath Hospice would download the Fundraising Application Form on this website and return it to us.  That allows the Committee to monitor events undertaken in aid of the Hospice and to acknowledge our gratitude to the many people who work tirelessly to make such events a success.
